About Me
Hi, I’m Grant Pearse. I am a geospatial data scientist based in Rotorua, New Zealand. My background and day job are focused on forestry and remote sensing. A condensed CV is at the bottom of the page.
I built this website as a place for my personal projects exploring deep learning, remote sensing and geospatial analysis - topics I can’t get enough of. The only goal is to build interesting projects while learning more about these fast-moving fields.
My main project at the moment is to try and build an AI-powered atlas of New Zealand using deep learning, cloud infrastructure and the amazing aerial basemap published by Land Information NZ.
